John McNeeley and Steve Roche started their songwriting collaboration known as The Suburban Exiles in the early Winter of 2008. In John, Steve found a seasoned frontman and lyricist whose tendencies towards the melancholy, dark, and introspective offset Steve's upbeat, bright, and bluesy style of playing. In Steve, John found a patient, complex, and meticulous guitarist and songwriter that would challenge and inspire him to take his lyrical themes in new directions. The results can be heard in the toe-tapping hip-shaking summertime vibes of "A Pop Calypso Now" and "Rattlesnake Girl" or in the moody candlelight nostalgia of "Half Moon Lake" and "In The Blood". Jason Richard joined up on drums in April 09 to provide a trademark backbeat! The Suburban Exiles are jamming with a great bass player and are rehearsing songs for a new EP and live shows in 2010. Stay tuned! Keep an eye and ear out as new songs, blogs, and photos are posted often at www.myspace.com/suburbanexiles

Walk The Fire formed from the ashes of a band formerly known as Iota in March of 2010. Iota was established in early 2008 when drummer Billy Bain and guitarist Tim Ma decided they wanted to form a cohesive group. Phil Clougher was pulled in to play bass, Ryon Waterman played rhythm guitar and Tom Kiss filled the vocalist position. Iota played its first gig in May of 2009 for a peace rally at Cardinal Spellman High School. Later on, they would go on to play a talent show for Holbrook High School where they closed the show with their first original song. The summer after was occupied by a few more gigs for various parties and a church function. In the fall of 2009, Tim Ma and Billy Bain left to attend college. Thus Iota was placed on hiatus. Despite being apart, new songs were still written and the band still got together to practice from time to time. That winter, Ryon and Tom left the band for their various reasons. Iota was left in disarray until the spring when they reformed as Walk the Fire with the remaining members of Iota. The band plays instrumental rock and is looking to play gigs and gain more exposure in the coming months. For more on Walk the Fire visit http://www.myspace.com/walkthefireband or
